MAKE COMPLEX FEEL SIMPLE.
I build interfaces and the things behind them. Once a design lands in my hands it doesn't change shape — I ask the awkward boundary questions first.

I don't think “looks good”
and “works well”
are two things.
I work between product and design. I can draw the interface and I can change the source; I'll argue about 2px with a designer and about render cost with an engineer.
School projects gave me one habit: ask what question this screen answers, then decide what it looks like. During my thesis I drew the same dataset seven times; the last version had three charts. Six were wasted — and all six were necessary.
Right now I'm working on two things: typography (Chinese spacing and punctuation is a level harder than Latin) and motion — making it serve comprehension instead of stealing attention.
